Chittorgarh Fort
In the state of Rajasthan, Chittorgarh is renowned for its enormous fortifications. Although there are other large forts in this area, the history of Chittorgarh Fort is the most unique and noteworthy. It was built in the seventh century, under the reign of Maurya. The founder of the Sisodia dynasty in Mewar, Bappa Rawal, established it in 734. Historical records state that Mewar has had its capital at the Chittorgarh fort for 834 years. Specifically known as Chittorgarh Fort, the capital of Mewar, the 700-acre fort is perched on a peak 180 meters above the ground. It was ruled by Guillot initially, and then Sisodiya. The fort is the best example of patriotism, courage, medieval heroism and sacrifice of Sisodia and his women and children in Mewar in the 7th and 16th century to the state. At that time, Rajput rulers, soldiers, women and locals used to think that sacrificing the fighting against the forces instead of surrendering the Mughal army. In 2013, in Phnom Penh of Colombia, in the 37th session of the World Heritage Committee, along with Chittorgarh fort, five more Fort of Rajasthan were included in the UNESCO World Heritage site. In his poetry Padmavat, Malik Mohammad Jaisi recounted the assault of Chittorgarh and the historic conquest in 1303 AD. He gave the queen Padmini's title in this. The narrator claims that Rani Padmawati was stunning in it. After learning of Padmavati's beauty, Allauddin Khalji was eager to visit. After encircling Chittorgarh, Khalji's forces dispatched a message to Raval Ratan Singh asking him to see Padmavati. I had faith that he would leave Chittor and refrain from attacking after meeting Padmavati. Rawal Rattan Singh talked about this in a phased manner. The queen did not agree with this but found a solution to avoid the war. Khalji can see his shadow in the lotus pond. The condition will be that the Khalji has to come without the weapon. Enamored Khalji attracts the Queen’s beauty. In this war, Raval Ratan Singh and his soldiers were killed. After the defeat of the soldiers in the Battle of Chittorgarh Although, till Alauddin reached Durg, Padmini had made Johar with thousands of women. more than 16,000 women and children of Rajput soldiers had made Johar. And had sacrificed his life. Chittorgarh is the ultimate devotee Meerabai's karma bhumi. After receiving Naam Diksha from Sant Ravi Das Ji, Meerabai dedicated her life to the Supreme God Kabir Sahib. Kabir Sahib's pupil was also Sant Ravi Das Ji. There are some legends about this that draw travelers to Chittorgarh. It is stated that Meerabai drank the poisoned cup, which turned into nectar. The tale of the heroes' valiant bravery has laid the groundwork for Rajasthani tourism and elevated Chittorgarh to the position of a tourist palace. The Chittorgarh has emerged as the pride of India due to its grandeur, breadth, and dedication; it never submitted to the enemy and even approved of the neck cut.
